For my editorial design project, I designed a newspaper on the Beijing Olympic Games.

 

My newspaper will be a weekly issue on the Beijing Olympics 2008. The Olympics were held from Friday 8th of August to Sunday 24th of August. I pretend my newspaper was published on Monday the 18th of August 2008. It aims to look back at the first week of the Games focusing on the highlights and results.

Headlines and Subheadings are all written by me and are intentionally sensational and enthusiastic to involve the readership, which is already passionate about sports. Articles and images are all sourced from other newspapers and photographers. Some articles tend to picture athletes as heroes who achieve extraordinary results. Through the content of articles and the use of captivating images, readers will empathise with the athletes and feel the excitement of the competitions even from a distance.
